TONE-LOCK 110™ is a premium transparent toning lacquer which is designed to easily bring out the natural beauty of your wood grains but without the need to strip existing lacquer finishes.

As a solvent lacquer, this product is formulated to dry fast, spray easily, and provide a durable long-lasting hard finish on properly sealed surfaces.

Has been formulated exclusively for refinishing fine wood such as interior wood cabinets, trim, doors, paneling, banisters, furniture, and other similar fine wood surfaces.

TONE-LOCK 110™ is specifically formulated for re-wetting or re-dissolving previously Lacquer finished surfaces. May also be used to a achieve deep penetration on new unfinished wooden surfaces for enhancing the beauty of your wood.

This Lacquer provides an exceptionally clean appearance with an increased depth of color and vibrancy. Provides interior wood with a distinctively warm and rich appearance.

Available Colors

Shane Coatings Tone Lacquer is available in a clear base. Also available in a wide selection of our signature colors.

Custom Colors and matches can also be achieved. Tint-able with 844 Industrial Colorants.

Not compliant for architectural use in containers larger than quarts

This lacquer (as with all nitrocellulose lacquers) has a tendency to amber with exposure to UV light and so is not intended for exterior surfaces.

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces must be cured, clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, stains, grease, oil, mildew, wax, sawdust, glue, and other contaminants.

New wood should be sanded smooth following the direction of the wood grain.

All cracks, nail holes, and other surface imperfections should be filled with a suitable patching material or wood putty.

Repaired surfaces should then be sanded smooth and wiped clean. Use a rag to remove all remaining dust, lint, and other foreign matter before proceeding.

Do not apply over previously painted, varnished, or other non-lacquer finishes because lifting or softening of the finish may result.

If applied over old finish make test application in a small area to determine if lifting will occur before applying to an entire job.
Thinning Recommendation:

TONE-LOCK 110™ may be thinned with up to 20% Acetone.
Coverage

200-250 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface conditions.
Cleanup

Use acetone to clean all equipment. Dispose of dirty solvent and cleaning rags in a safe and appropriate manner.

Solvent or lacquer soaked rags should be stored in a water-filled container prior to appropriate disposal.
Health & Safety:

Use in a well-ventilated area. Do not breathe vapors. Use only with adequate ventilation.

Always wear appropriate respirator equipment when spraying or applying this material. If you experience difficulty breathing, leave the area immediately to obtain fresh air. If persists seek immediate medical attention.

Flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames.
In Case of Eye Contact:

Flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.

Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Wash paint from your skin with soap and water. Replace lid on container tightly after each use.
Storage:

CAUTION: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE! Extinguish all flame sources before use.

Do not freeze. Store in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Protect from elements and from temperatures above 80 °F. Close container tightly when not in use.

Extreme temperatures may cause the product to become unusable. For example, Freezing and thawing may cause the product to gel. And high heat may cause a solid skin to form.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY:

SCMFG CORPORATION warrants your complete satisfaction with this product from defect as long as you own or reside in your residence when our product has been applied and maintained according to exact label directions.

We do not warrant problems with the product which are caused by factors beyond our control, such as structural defects, damage to the paint film by others, poor condition of the substrate, improper application, etc.

If not satisfied as warranted, return the unused portion, as well as a sales receipt to the place of purchase. You will receive as your exclusive remedy either from a refund of the price paid for the product, or replacement with a product of equal value.

This product warranty specifically excludes labor or cost of labor for the application of any paint and consequential, incidental damages. However, the warranty is only valid if applied by a Shane Coatings™ certified technician.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of consequential or incidental damages, so the limitation or exclusion contained in the above warranty may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.

I acknowledge color matching technology from Shane Coatings (and any other paint manufacture) will always be an approximation and not a guarantee of an exact match to the color sample I possess and am sending Shane Coatings for matching.

We provide custom color matching and can match any color as long as you provide us one of three things below:

  1. The EXACT color name from any fan deck, and the manufacturer name such as Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc.
  2. The exact color code from a color chip sample either online or in a fan deck.
  3. If you do not have your color chosen yet you can skip this step and check the box above that says “I Don’t Know My Color Yet”.

After placing your order you can then send your chosen color to colors@shanecoatings.com

We will not ship your order until we have received a color from you. If you do not wish to have a color match simply notify us of that and we can ship your product with no color mixing or tinting.

Please Read Carefully on the Factors Affecting Color Samples:

  1. Color chips and color samples are affected by light, age, heat, and other factors.
  2. On-screen and printer color representations may vary from actual paint colors due to differences in monitor calibrations and printer variations.

Other Factors Affecting Color of a Finish Coating:

The texture, porosity, prior color of the substrate, lighting, as well as other influences may alter the appearance of the applied coating. Shane Coatings make no warranty as to the exact duplication of color and finish on color chips, and/or color samples you see on a desktop computer screen or mobile device.

Therefore the color and finish of the actual paint in the container we deliver to you may vary slightly from the appearance of a corresponding color chip in a fan deck or from the colors you see on your computer or mobile device screen. You must check the box indicating you accept these terms before you can continue checking out.
